Refund policy

Thank you for shopping with Black Cat Guitars! We’re committed to your satisfaction and want you to love the instrument you play. Please read our policy carefully before making a return or refund request.

⏱ Return Window

You have 72 hours (3 days) from the date of delivery to request a return or refund.

After this window, all sales are considered final.

✅ Return & Refund Eligibility

To qualify for a return or refund:

The item must be returned in the exact same condition as it was received.
All original packaging, accessories, manuals, and documentation must be included.
The product must be unused and show no signs of wear or damage.
A proof of purchase (receipt or order number) is required.
Your return request must be submitted within 72 hours of delivery.

💸 Restocking Fee

All approved returns may incur a restocking fee of up to 15% of the item’s purchase price. The final fee will be based on the condition of the returned item but will not exceed 15%.

🚫 No Partial Refunds

We do not offer partial refunds for items that are used, opened, or returned in a condition different from when they were shipped.

🎸 Guitar Returns & Trade-Ins

If you're not satisfied with a guitar purchase, we encourage you to consider a trade-in instead of a return. We want you to find the right instrument, and our trade-in program makes that easier.

📩 How to Start a Return

To request a return:

Email us at contact@blackcatguitars.com within 72 hours of receiving your item.
Include your order number, reason for return, and photos (if item was damaged or incorrect).
Once approved, we’ll provide return instructions and a shipping address.

Please do not send items back without prior authorization. Any unauthorized returns will be declined and sent back to the customer at their expense.

💳 Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return:

We’ll notify you of approval or denial.
If approved, your refund (minus any applicable restocking fee) will be issued to your original payment method within 5–7 business days.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

🚚 Return Shipping

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error (e.g., wrong or damaged item).
For high-value instruments, we strongly recommend using a trackable, insured shipping service.

❗ Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received your refund yet:

Check your bank or credit card statement.
Contact your card issuer — it may take time before the refund is officially posted.
